American Friends adds to the Gothic art collection

Thanks to our contributors, American Friends is proud to donate the central panel of a Gothic altarpiece, from 1415 - 1421, by Lluís Borrassà originally from the chapel of Saint Martha in the Barcelona Cathedral.

Lluís Borrassà was the most famous painter in the city at that time and the preferred artist for the most important clients for decades.
We are delighted to expand the Museo del Prado's collection with this excellent example of Catalan Gothic art.

Thank you to all who have made this possible!
