Governance

The American Friends of the Prado Museum, as a U.S.-based 501(c)3 non-profit corporation recognized by the IRS, operates independently of the Prado Museum, with EIN# 46-5299350.

It is governed by a Board of Directors which holds independent authority and exercizes independent decision-making processes in carrying out its charitable goals.  It also directs how contributions received should be used.

Board members, volunteers, and employees shall act in the best interest of the organization´s mission at all times, a mission based on our many values, including:
Integrity, Respect, Loyalty, Quality, Accountability, Transparency, Responsibility, and Openness to Learning, Change, and Improvement
