Marinus. Painter from Reymerswale

The Museo del Prado, with the largest collection of paintings attributed to Marinus van Reymerswale, has organized the first monographic exhibition dedicated to the enigmatic 16th century painter from Zeeland (Holland).

A special video from Christine Seidel, curator of the exhibition, presents the artist, his work and the exhibition taking place from March to June, 2021.

American Friends is proud to support the English version of the exhibition catalogue and the Prado's initiative to shed light upon this lesser known artist, who is a fascinating reflection of the profound changes taking place during his time and the flourishing international trade of his region.
